"Iconic Turn" and societal reflection
Edited by Georges Didi-Huberman and Bernd Stiegler
collaboration with Daniela Kneissl.
In 1967, Richard Rorty had articulated a linguistic turn (linguistic turn) to the philosophy that should not remain without consequences for the social sciences. In many places we announce today and staged a iconic or pictorial turn (rotating icon), and one can expect that it will not remain without consequences for social sciences. A critical review of the German debate and French is highly desirable.
