Pictoriana is a site devoted to research on writings of artists and, more generally, the relationship between literature and arts.

Pictoriana houses a database of artists, writers Belgium. For students, researchers and anyone else that the question of the relationship between literature and painting interest, it identifies biographical information and evidence on the curriculum and arts of these artists. It is accessible after registration, for consultation, either direct (data encoding).
Pictoriana includes publishing space, open to scholars and outstanding work of students. It can accommodate articles, reports and complete records on the relationship between literature and painting. The publication space is not governed by any periodicity: the proposals are welcomed throughout the year.

Pictoriana is intended as a reference tool for research on the relationship between literature and arts, and specifically on the writings of artists. For this reason, it regularly publishes calls for papers, holds the diary of publications and conferences, lists of useful links, and offers a directory that any researcher on the relationship between text and image is invited to complete.
