(Coraline, 2002)
When adventures of Alice in Wonderland takes place in the world of the Adams family (how not to think about the thing at hand!), this gives a lot of spiders very brrrr (Why, oh why always spiders? Creatures spiders, spiders hands, Bath spider ... How to cure our phobias silly if the authors call us in our funky flips at the slightest opportunity! ) few laughs and especially a great time reading by Neil Gaiman which I look forward now to find other work.
But for now let's concentrate on that which brings us here, or rather: Coraline (not Caroline, beware!) girl fearless, courageous, explorer, funny (although Whether the cat is more fun with its gates ^ ^) and resourceful , whose birth has taken no less than 10 years to his proud father N. Gaiman (I will not say the size of the ankle that he must have!). During these ten years he did not, however, merely eating candy hallucinogens watching old episodes of the Adams family, nay, he also developed a whole universe to quite enchanting atmosphere but often downright scary.
The descriptions are never heavy but specific enough that the world appears without difficulty, to making the reading very fluid and fast (we had not read the passage three times to understand what the house looks like in some book, but we must also admit that this is surely doing it to be a children's book, very short). The style is light but do not forget to be funny and incisive (I do not keep putting this replica of the cat: "we could be friends ... you know," said Coraline. I really loved this idea of a mother aute , attracting children to another allegedly perfect life that we all revés a day when our parents were disappointed but that is ultimately be only a trap because finally our parents are perhaps not perfect beings but they have normal eyes them! ( and incidentally their love is unselfish and true, which is better seen that costs them ^ ^)
7.5/10 Enchantment and therefore also the depth to really share that story unfortunately ended too soon! way to becoming a classic for the youth ...
